Jeanne is a Southern Artist from the Blue Ridge Mountains who is Self Taught and Inspired by the woodlands of the Appalachia. As a Contemporary Folk Artist and Illustrator, bold and earthy colors, layered depth, and empowering themes for women are employed in her artwork. Her subject matter tends to revolve around Nature, Animal Totems, Goddess Art, and the Bridge between Earth and Sky.
She is currently working on a new line of work, incorporating Watercolors in a free flowing and feminine style.

Her themes are meant to be inspiring. While we all have times of sadness and difficult challenges, it is easy to paint the pain. Her focus is to always paint the light, the hope, the dream.
Jeanne's chosen modalities are Sculpting and Painting, creating pieces that tell a story, for the story is what connects us all.

I am a Contemporary Folk and Visionary Artist from the Blue Ridge Mountains. My Passion is to Explore the Spirit of Art, and the Art of Spirit. I create Art that is Inspiring and Empowering, focusing on Nature themes, Goddess Art, Animal Totems, and Symbolic pieces that are Unique and Meaningful. I immerse in various artistic modalities including Original Paintings in acrylics and watercolors, Gourd Art, Sculpting, Mixed Media, and Assemblage.

I consider Art to be Healing, and create with Emotional and Spiritual Connection. Each piece carries meaningful symbolism for me. I place a high importance on Creating, as I use it as a healing vehicle for myself, a Lupus Warrior and Amputee. I believe that art can take us to places that allows our souls to heal. I choose not to paint my pain, but to paint the world in which my spirit can heal.
